What should I expect?
Cornerstone offers a relaxed and welcoming environment for anyone who walks through the doors. Our intent is to be a blessing to you and we feel that starts by first helping you to feel at home when you come in. Below are answers to some of the common questions that we receive in regards to our church and services.
When are your service times?
Sunday School: 9:30 am
Sunday Morning: 10:30 am
Wednesday Evening: 6:30 pm
What should I wear?
Cornerstone does not have a formal dress code and we would like for you to be comfortable as you come and worship with us. Some of our members prefer more traditional attire, while most of our members come in appropriate casual clothing. We have a very relaxed environment, so you will fit right in.
What do you have for children?
Nursery service (ages 0-3), and various children’s classes (ages 4-7 and 8-12), are available for Sunday School and our Sunday Morning Service. Nursery workers will be in place 5-10 minutes before each service begins for your convenience.
During our Sunday Morning Service, children (ages 4-12) will meet in the auditorium with the rest of the church for worship through song. Prior to the message, they will be dismissed into age appropriate classes for children's church. Some of our families prefer to keep their children with them for the duration of the service. If this is your preference, that is completely acceptable for children of any age.
Is there a teen and/or young adult ministry?
The Pastor leads the church's teen and young adult ministries and offers a number of different opportunities for fellowship, fun, learning and outreach! Our teens and young adults are an important part of the congregation and worship together with the adults for Sunday School, as well as our Sunday Morning and Wednesday Evening Services.
How do I find where I’m going?
Once you walk in our main entrance, you will be greeted by a member of our church who would be more than happy to assist you in where to go. If you arrive early and don't see anyone, we have you covered:
Sunday and Wednesday Evening Services are held in the main auditorium. As you walk in the front entrance, this will be the first set of double doors on your right.
Sunday School is held in our back classrooms. As you walk in the front entrance continue strait through the foyer until you reach the back hallway. From there, the classroom doors will be labeled by age and class.
Am I expected to participate in the offering?
An offering to the Lord is an important part of worship as described in the Bible. Cornerstone maintains an offering box that allows individuals to give in a non-confrontational way. While you are visiting with us and taking time to get to know our church, we intentionally ask that you not give, unless the Lord specifically lays it on your heart to do so.
